About Our Surgical Procedures
Cataract Surgery
If you're dealing with cataracts, Dr. Tu can provide the care and attention you need to regain your vision. We offer a wide range of premium IOLs, including multifocal lenses, which can help patients achieve excellent vision at a range of distances. Dr. Tu will work with you to determine the best lens for your needs, ensuring that you achieve the best possible outcome.
Glaucoma Surgery
At the Regional Eye Center's Surgical Center, we are also experts in glaucoma surgery. Dr. Tu is a skilled glaucoma surgeon and uses minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) to provide effective treatment for this condition. MIGS is a safe and effective technique that can help reduce intraocular pressure, preventing further damage to the optic nerve. Dr. Tu will work with you to determine the best approach to your glaucoma treatment, ensuring that you receive the care and attention you need to manage this condition.
About Our Dry Eye Clinic
Regional Eye Center offers a dedicated Dry Eye Center led by Dr. Valerie Moates, who specializes in treating symptomatic and severe dry eye patients. The center utilizes state-of-the-art technology and modern research to provide a thorough diagnosis for dry eye disease, with a focus on meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD), which is the most common cause of dry eye.
Advanced dry eye treatments, such as RadioFrequency (RF/Forma I), Intense Pulsed Light (IPL/Lumecca I), iLux procedure, BlephEx, and PROKERA® amniotic membrane, are used to treat MGD, blepharitis, and damaged corneas or ocular surfaces. The dry eye center also offers personalized programs for each patient, utilizing punctal plugs, medications, and more to manage and prevent the progression of dry eye.
Why Choose Our Surgical Center?
Our center offers the same level of care as a hospital, but with added convenience. Unlike hospitals, which are busy with many different types of medical procedures, our team is dedicated solely to eye care. This makes us true experts in the field, and allows us to provide a higher level of care to our patients.
Additionally, because we specialize solely in eye surgery, we are able to make our procedures more affordable. We avoid the markups and add-ons that are often included when going to a hospital for eye surgery, making our services more accessible to a wider range of patients.
At the Regional Eye Center’s Surgical Center, our patients are our top priority. We are committed to providing exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment, and we strive to make every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Whether you need cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, or dry eye relief, we are here to help you achieve your ideal level of vision and improve your quality of life.
